Flower Derived vs. Industrial Hemp
April 15, 2021

At Verdania Fields, we use whole plant, full spectrum CBD that is harvested from the cannabis flower.
The most potent spectrum of cannabinoids and synergistic components are found in formulations derived from cannabis flower, making it most effective in addressing health and wellness issues.
In addition to cannabinoids, such as CBD/CBDa, CBG and CBN, the flower encompasses the most robust variety of terpenes and flavonoids, along with phytonutrients, fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals.
Most CBD on the market, however, it’s made from industrial hemp because it is less expensive. It is defined as hemp that has been bred to grow tall, slender stocks to produce fiber for industrial uses, such as textiles.
Industrial hemp is sparse in flower, so one must source cannabinoids (such as CBD) from less optimal parts of the plant such as stalks, stems and leaves which offer little to no potency unlike full spectrum CBD.
Industrial hemp is also a bio accumulator that cleans soil, and therefore it can retain toxins.
